The Red Beach Scholarship Fund, named for the late CAPA co-founder & Chatham flight instructor Red Beach (pictured), provides annual scholarships to aviation students.
Scholarship fund chairman Gary Street and his committee are currently in the process of reviewing candidates for this year's awards, which will be presented at the June CAPA meeting. If you know any candidates who are pursuing an aviation career and would like to apply, they should contact Ron at once.Stay tuned for further details about our 2009 scholarship presentations.
The scholarship is named after "Red" Beach", a well-loved Chatham flight instructor who was killed in a tragic seaplane accident on Lake Winnipesaukee over a decade ago when the engine failed at low altitude. "Red" Beach earned his pilot's license before he received a drivers license.
